sending a letter in the mail?

I have to send a very important letter. I have stamps but it doesn’t say what value they are?! They’re first class usa stamps with the lady liberty. And it says 2006 very small in the corner. If I use two of these stamps am I guaranteed this will be ok?
Is it ok to but too much postage on something?

It’s ok to put to much postage on something, your just paying more then you need to. Try to take the stamps to the Post Office and asking them what their value is.
