I found some old 19 cent stamps what is the best way to find the value of the stamp?

19 cent stamp with a baby deer, never used

If your stamp is a 19 cent baby deer with a green background and small yellow flowers at its feet, then you have a scott #2479. This stamp was made in 1993 and retails for 75 cents in excellent condition (no bends, tears, folds, etc.) Unfortunately, most Stamps From this time period are really only worth face value, which is the amount printed on the stamp or 19 cents. If you had a large collection of stamps, you may be able to sell it to a dealer for a percentage of face, but with only a few it’s best to use them on your mail.

If you still wish to find the value of the other stamps, you have a few options. You can go to the library or bookstore and look at a postage stamp catalog. These will tell you the current market prices of any stamps you have. You can also go to certain websites, such as www.mysticstamp.com who will supply you with a free catalog or www.whitmanbooks.com who has a photographic section of stamps for sale by year (you don’t have to buy, but you can look for your stamp issue.)
